OMEGA
Founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt, initially known as La Generale Watch Co. The companies first innovation was developing a system for interchangeable watch parts, named the "Omega Brand". Marketing proved extremely successful as the company promptly changed its named in 1903 in honor of its omega brand system, becoming Omega Watch and Co. Then for the last time in 1982 its name changed to Omega, SA where its currently a subsidiary of the swiss Swatch Group. Omega holds a long history of success and pride, starting in 1917 where Britain's Royal Flying Corps chose Omega watches as its official time piece for its combat units, as did the US Army in 1918. 1932 marked the year Omega became the official timekeepers for the prestigious Olympic Games even landing on the big screen when James Bond wore the iconic SeaMaster. In 1969 Omega received its greatest honor, worn by Buzz Aldrin becoming the first watch on the moon. Omega carries the prestige to be worn by the likes of John F. Kennedy, Elvis Presley, and yet humble enough to sit on the wrist of even the most casual of watch enthusiasts.
