PATEK PHILIPPE

Patek Czapek & Cie was founded in 1839 by Antoine Norbet De Patek and Francois Czapek, kicking off the greatest ripple-effect the watchmaking industry has witnessed. By 1916 the company rebranded to Patek Philippe & Cie, and established itself as a true pioneer. A multitude of patents, and the first complicated ladies’ wristwatch was just the beginning of the brand showing true aspirations for greatness. In 1958 Henri Stern became the president of Patek Philippe, and by this time the company sold its first split-second chronograph wristwatch, created its first perpetual calendar wristwatch, enlarged its patent portfolio. 1989 marked the brands 150-year anniversary and in honor of the event the company launched a 33-complication pocket-watch, the most complicated ever manufactured. Today in the 21st century Patek Philippe pushed forward, innovated, and revolutionized the watchmaking industry to such a grand scale it established itself as the master watchmaker for all other watchmakers thanks to a relentless pursuit for absolute excellence.
